This COBRA XRS 9730 is my second radar detector from Cobra, the first one I had worked fine but within a year the speaker blew in it. I hope this one will last longer. I have had this radar detector for just a month and already saved me at least twice. This device is nice and I really like the compass feature. My only complaint is that you get false alarms, not many but enough to inconvenience you. But when it is supposed to alert me it does, so I'm not complaining too much. It works well with lasers, I can confirm this just some days ago. Also the Emergency Vehicle feature works well to my surprise. It is very customizable and over time, once you've figured out which frequencies are usually bogus, you can set it up so you will have almost zero false [radar] alarms (which is really cool). The only bad thing is that it is very sensitive to POP (it gives a lot of false POP alerts, but this option can be disable). This device is certainly worth the money and more.
